Today marks the launch of the Horizon Protocol Discord channel! We listened to your feedback and we’ll be using Discord to host more in depth discussions and organize HZNation. We are going to be starting with a more condensed version of the channels described in the previous post. The community management team is on standby to expand the list of available channels (including languages) and functionalities as soon as necessary! Remember to tell us what you think and how we can make it better.

To celebrate our new Discord channel we’ll be hosting an 800 HZN lucky draw to those that join! All you need to do is join the Discord and react to the get-started message and you’ll be entered. All members with the HZNation tag will be eligible for the lucky draw next week at 12:00pm Friday, 28th January (UTC) and the winner announced in Discord.

We will be maintaining Telegram as well — so just choose whatever fits your needs best!

In other news, congratulations to Krishna, who guessed what M.E.T.H. stands for:

Make Everyone Think Harder

M.E.T.H. will be interactive events where we can learn, brainstorm, and share ideas as a community. The goal is to stimulate discussion and debate about key parts of Horizon Protocol, DeFi, and traditional financial topics. By pooling our collective ideas in a focused environment, we can encourage each other to develop further, and take the next step forward towards our future DAO.

You win the 800 HZN prize!

We will also be giving out rewards to those that participate in M.E.T.H. events — watch out for that!

It was awesome seeing all the different ideas you all came up with — some of them were truly out of the box. It goes to show the level we can reach if we all come together to discuss & debate about how Horizon Protocol moves forward. That’s why we’re so excited to be starting up these M.E.T.H. events and we hope you are too!

What would you like to discuss first?
